Interview with Etienne De Loriol
Please tell us a bit about yourself as a musician?
My name is Etienne, I am 26 years old and I live in France. I have been playing the guitar for 13 years now. I have been teaching the guitar in music schools for 7 years. I love many styles of music such as rock, metal, pop, blues, jazz or fusion. My favorite musicians or bands are John Mayer, Biffy Clyro, Periphery, Plini, Joe Satriani and many others!
Why should musicians practice with your jam or backing tracks?
Practicing over backing tracks is the best way to learn scales, licks, rhythm patterns and improve your guitar skills. It is like having a whole band at home. My backing tracks are in many different styles (rock, blues, acoustic, ballad, metal, jazz, etc...), tempos (60, 80, 100, 120 bpm, etc...) and keys (C, Am, G, Em, D, F, etc...). Beginners or advanced musicians will find everything they need to practice at home. New backing tracks are available every month on my Youtube channel.
Where can we find your jam & backing tracks?
All my backing tracks are available on
How do you approach making backing tracks?
The most important thing is the chord progression! When I find the right progression, I begin to record it on my guitar or piano and add other instruments such as drums, electric guitar, bass, etc. I use Cubase for creating my backing tracks.
What do you like most about GuitarToneMaster.com?
The most important thing on GuitarToneMaster.com is the diversity of backing tracks. Every style, tempo or key can be practiced. Everything is easy to find and new backing tracks are available every day!
